• some people do not easily let you into their circle. you must earn their respect before they let you in. after you're in you're in like flynn (whoever the heck flynn was. was that the guy that got walked out the door?)

• with a new manager it's a good idea to keep in regular contact to

make sure that things are progressing

that nothing new is in the pipeline

that they're aware that you're around and handling things for them
